According to an article published on ZDnet News (http://news.zdnet.com/2001-1_22.html), FCC says emergency alerts should move online.


Federal government has extended the emergency alert system to digital cable, satellite TV and satellite radio. Digital cable and satellite radio have until the end of 2006 to comply, and satellite TV has until May 31, 2007.
